I'm gonna do a few posts about some amazing people I would consider my idols.
First off is Tina Fey. She is truly one of the funniest people, Mean Girls was a revolution, to be honest I haven't seen much of her SNL stuff, but she is well respected in that area so she must've done well.
And well 30 Rock is pretty much me and boyfriends favorite show ever! It's just so different to anything else thats on television these days. And Baby Mama and Date Night were classics too. And she doesn't just act in those things, she writes them and all her material is so witty and clever and true (I mean I think I can speak for a lot of teenage girls by saying that when Mean Girls came out, it was really relevant and truthful)
I hate to say it, but she's such an independent woman! So classy and she's so respected in the "comedy scene" (I don't even know what I mean when i say that) A place that is quite obviously very much a "man's game" (that too)
For a while, all the comedy movies coming out where the Apatow crew, ALL MEN, I mean don't get me wrong I love those films, it was just becoming apparent to me that there was a lack of women on the "comedy scene" (again why!?) and this was getting me down. Then someone like Emma Stone came along and had a minor role in Superbad, then again a supporting role in Zombieland, but then completely blew me away in Easy A, which I saw expecting nothing more than a cheesy, chick flick style comedy, and she was just great! It was the first time in a while that A female was cast in a lead role of a comedy film.
Tina Fey is the same, she rose to the occasion and really made a name for herself and is genuinely funny, and thats why I love her. She's successful and famous for her work, not for her reputation.
I'm going to start reading her book "Bossypants" as soon as I get time to buy it and I'm eager to learn things about her I didn't know before, and probably just be more inspired by her!
p.s she's also so gorgeous
I saw this drawing on a blog I frequent and thought it was really cool!
